Tarot Scopes

April 2016
By Lalia Wilson

Hello, though I see myself as primarily an astrologer, I used a combination of tarot, astrology and intuition to do these readings. If you know your Moon sign and your rising sign, read them in addition to your Sun sign. Enjoy April.  Even though I used different decks, I got four duplications of cards, which was a surprise.

Aries: The Fool and the 5 of Wands

It’s month of big changes, as you are seeking freedom and your own way. You may have a conflict with a boss or parent or other authority figure. As you see your path more clearly, a blessing, you will have more opposition from those who want you to stay the same. Make the most of the first half of the month, as your opportunities will be less viable later in the month.

Taurus: XII Hanging Man and the Ace of Pentacles

As much as it is possible for you, Taurus, to be impatient, you will be this month. You feel the weather warming. You have plans for your garden, landscape or farm. You sense the energy building in the earth. But you need to wait for the flood waters to recede, the spring rains to dry out a bit, and the temperatures to be right before planting. If you are not a gardener, this is a metaphor for you needing to wait on that project you are so ready to begin.

Gemini: Chariot and 8 of Swords

Gemini, your mind is going a mile a minute—pretty standard for a Gemini.  You are letting that little voice in your head, the Monkey Mind, chatter away. You are focused on some fear issues that almost certainly will not come to pass. Use a trusted partner or friend to bring you back to earth and help you focus. Sometimes that sober individual can be the best friend you have. Fear is not the answer!

Cancer: IV Emperor and 9 of Wands

While 2016 will be a year of inspiration or “spacing out,” this month is anything but. Your friends are unusually aggressive and wanting you to step out and take action; pretty much demanding new paths for you. Meanwhile work (or God-forbid, health) problems are burdensome. It seems very difficult for you to balance these two, as the timing is just a bit off. Friends and groups and organizations are what is going to stretch your world this month. Much as you like to be comfortable, April does not seem to be comfortable at all.

Leo: XXI The World and the Ace of Cups

April looks to be the completion of one project and the beginning of another. This could be the end of a pregnancy and a birth, or a completely different project. April is usually a good month for Leos, and this one is exceptional. If you don’t have a major project going on, declare something a project and finish it for the good karma. Love awaits, you want to have the old business over. Girlfriends are a powerful force for moving ahead this month, let them introduce you to new people.

Virgo: XVII The Star and Queen of Cups

Virgos will come out from their usual hiding places to claim some rewards this month. As the worker bee of the zodiac, Virgo, you usually are behind the scenes. But rewards are coming. Money, and travel or a scholarship—or all three. Someone has seen your hard work and will come across with some recognition. If you haven’t aspired to a scholarship, or a travel adventure, this is the month to implement this. You have only your own limits, feelings of inadequacy or humility, holding you back.

Libra: XIII Death and 10 of Pentacles

It looks like a very atypical month for you, dear Libra. You are having to pay attention to details in your financial life and that of significant others. Are you settling an estate? Or otherwise needing to investigate finances up close and personal? It is not fun work for you and yet there you are. It’s a good month for working with grade school children, whether members of your family or others. You have a lot to contribute, personal stories and reading stories. This is part of your legacy that you pass on to the next generation. If you don’t have local family, volunteer for something with children to lighten up your month.

Scorpio: XXI World and the 9 of Cups

That project you’ve been working on, it has to do with education, travel or foreigners, is about to be real and bring you money. It was a good idea, and took some work, but expect it to pay off with reliable income for quite some time. Overall this is a happy month for you. Typical of Scorpios, though, you are keeping your feelings of pleasure, bliss and comfort to yourself and being “private” about everything. At least send some blessings out to others so that they, too, will find comfort and joy in their lives.

Sagittarius: XII Hanged Man and the 4 of Cups

Dear Sag, since you have studied tarot, and a mess of other things, you know what the Hanging Man means—a pause. Here, though, with the 4 of Cups, it looks like a pity party. Or at least a lot of regrets and nostalgia. Sagittarius is the sign of travel, adventure and learning. Now you are focusing on steps not taken, opportunities you did not recognize, and friends and potential lovers who are gone forever. Once you see this trend, go ahead and indulge it so that next month you are ready to move forward.

Capricorn: I Magician and 6 of Wands

Well, Capricorn, you are not as appreciated as you ought to be! With the Magician as your message, this means you will be up to your usual making the impossible happen in your public life. Communications, business and commerce is emphasized. Something that you are aspiring for is coming to fruition. In addition, any spiritual ambitions you have will become more accessible. Spiritually, expect some noticeable progress by the end of the year. You always have your eyes on the prize. This looks to be a time of unlimited accomplishment.

Aquarius: IV Emperor and Queen of Cups

April brings a focus on your public life and issues around your father and the law. This can be that you are one of the protestors, or one of the police and the legal system. As the most political of all signs, Aquarius, you are in your good place with all the politics in the air. Remember to internalize all the best from your mother and father, or mother-like and father-like people in your life. Exhibit some caution if you are participating in demonstrations this spring. You have possibilities of a financial windfall, but that money could go right out for bail. Let’s not do that.

Pisces: XX Judgment and the 5 of Cups

Scan 42

These days you are unusually focused on yourself. You have so many things going on, Pisces, and this trend lasts several years. In the meantime there are some friend issues. Some of your friends are being left behind because of your new interests, some may be leaving the planet. Some new friends may be unusually intense for you—as you come off as a “space cadet” most of the time. There is also some looking back at an idealized old love, while ignoring the really good partner or prospective partner who is wanting your attention. Let go of the old.
