The American Tarot Association is hosting a special election to fill the gap left by Cindy Wilson as she has stepped down from her role as Vice President of Education. While Cindy has certainly left some big shoes to fill, we are certain that there are some amazing people within the membership that can bring an energetic attitude and a new vision to this position. We are looking for an outgoing and energetic person who is willing to help us foster and develop the Mentor/Protege program to new heights, refine our educational materials, and keep the ATA on the top as one of the best sources for tarot education. The official details for the position and the qualifications are below.
The Vice President of Education is responsible for the following areas:
Initial interviews and communications with potential ATA proteges
Coordination of Mentor/Protege partnerships with ongoing communication between all involved
Oversight, revision and development of training and educational materials
Monthly updates with the Board of Directors on Mentor/Protege numbers and communications
May be responsible for being a mentor as well
The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications and attributes:
Outgoing and professional attitude
Experience with teaching the tarot to groups and/or individuals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to encourage individuals towards their greatest level of participation and excitement in educational settings
Must be a current ATA member in good standing
Ability to meet once a month via online meeting space for Board meetings
Must have email access to participate in Mentor/Protege discussions as well as participate in Board discussions between meetings.
