Using the Oracle of Shadows & Light
By Lucy Cavendish and Jasmine Becket-Griffith
The
Summer Faeries begin their rest as the Autumn Faerie awaken from
their slumber. So many things for them to do. Helping the summer
plants return to earth and give a last burst of energy to those just
coming into harvest.
Did you know that If you have fruit trees
or vines, it is customary to leave the last of the fruit for the Fae.
This can help for a bountiful harvest next year.
Let's see
what the Fine Folk have to say for the month of October.
At
the first part of the month you may feel that even though you are
working hard and working long hours – that nothing is getting done.
This could easily lead to boredom and frustration. Be sure to look at
your “down time” and make sure that this is “quality time.”
Do something easy, fun, and something that shows results.
You
may normally want to be seen as someone who is always well liked and
conform to rules and boundaries set by others, but during this time
it is okay to bend the rules from time to time. Speak up, take
action, and don't be afraid to take a risk.
Mid month, you may
find that bending the rules earlier in the month sets new things into
motion. New ideas, new motivation, and new energy are ripe and ready
for the picking. Make lists on the order in which things should be
done then run with your new ideas and see how far you can take
things.
Pay
attention and flex that intuitive muscle. This is also a great time
to explore your creativity and maybe try a new art form. Try
something completely different than you would normally do.
The
end of the month is going to come very quickly and you will have
plenty going one. Even though it looks like chaos, you will find the
order and will be able to keep things settled and yourself calm.
If
you read Tarot (for others), you might find yourself busier than
normal.
Remember to take care of yourself as you move through
this busy time. Be sure to create time for breaks so you can enjoy
the season as well. Be sure to schedule in time to get out and take a
walk and enjoy the fall colors before they disappear.
A nice
stone to wear or carry this month is Peridot.
Peridot is a very powerful stone. It helps release and neutralize toxins. It can also help release jealousy, hatred, greed. It can help open the heart to joy and new relationships (those looking for love might want to include a rose quartz as well). Peridot can help with confidence, motivation. It can help boost energy and open the mind to new levels of awareness.
Peridot can be good for the immune system, metabolism and skin. It can also help balance bipolar disorders, strengthen the eyes, help with issues of the heart, lungs, gall bladder, spleen, and intestinal tract.
