Frolicking Fae

By Terri Clement

Using Messages from the Wee Folk…

Our weather has quickly transitioned here in the Pacific Northwest. We have gone from a beautiful fall with leaves turning a wide array of colors and crisp mornings giving away to pleasant afternoons to bare trees, frozen ground and finding it necessary to scrape windshields. All of this has happened in a matter of a week or so. Crazy how quickly the seasons can change. Definitely wish I had not put off winterizing the garden!

Let’s see what the Fae have to offer us up for the month of November…

NovFF14

During the first part of the month, you may find yourself on the receiving end of a gift of some sort. Try to allow yourself to be open to receive. Remember the feeling that you get, when you have to opportunity to give something to someone else. I am talking about that warm fuzzy feeling of making someone else happy. Many of us enjoy basking in the glow of that feeling. Well… with that being said, why would you deny someone else that feeling?  When you cast off something that someone is offering you, whether it be something physical or energetic, because you would rather than give to receive, you are denying someone else the opportunity to be the giver. So learn to receive and try your best to receive graciously.

The middle of the month is a good time to do some “letting go.” This can be some physically clearing out of things you no longer need or to let go of some of the emotional baggage that you are carrying around. Start small, if it’s physical letting go, maybe start with that junk drawer or the hall closet and then branch out from there. If it’s an emotional releasing that you need to work on, start with anger and resentment. Find a way to chip away at what or who is making you angry. Let go of it bit by bit. Shed a tear or more…  Whatever it takes, but release what you can.

Many of us will be spending more time with extended family this month due to the Thanksgiving holiday. This time can be hard on some, so just remember every one of us has some sort of internal struggle going on, so do your best to be kind to one another.

As the month rounds out to a close you might find that this is a time to do some shadow-work. This is a time to examine fears, struggles, and all around things that are holding you back. This is a bit of a continuation of what is happening in the middle of the month, but this gives us an opportunity to transition through to the other side. If you need help to talk through this time, don’t hesitate to ask for assistance. This is also a good time to “mend fences.”

There is definitely lots of room for growth this month. Be sure to nurture yourself: body, mind, and spirit as you go through this process.

A nice stone to carry or wear this month is the Rose Quartz.
