November 2016

Using the Froud Faeries Oracle
by Brian Froud
Here in the Pacific Northwest, the rains have
arrived. The skies are battleship gray, the days are dark. The
gardens have died back and most of the leaves are down. The first
snow has fallen in the mountains. Winter feels right around the
corner.
With
that being said let's take a look and see what the Fae have to offer
us for the month of November…
During
the first part of the month expect and prepare for the unexpected.
These could come in as rude awakenings but these may also be good
things. This can be a time of karmic lessons; not punishment but
events that teach us deeper meanings. Pay attention to the little
hints and intuitive flashes to ease you through this time.
You
might find yourself feeling a bit overwhelmed. You may want to pull
the covers back over your head instead of getting up to face the
world head on. Go ahead, pull the blankets off, get up, and get
yourself moving. You will feel better once you do. You might find
this a nice period to start a gentle but different exercise routine.
Something that gently moves your body in new ways. Yoga, stretching,
walking. Nothing jolting; treat your body kindly.
The
middle weeks of the month the Fae will greatly shift the energy from
a hermit-like state to something fiery, wild, and spontaneous. It is
important as humans to try to keep things in balance during this
crazy and impulsive time. These two weeks are running fire energy;
birth, death, and rebirth. Prepare accordingly.
Be
aware of letting others find their way and their own voice. During
your heightened energy period, it's important that we don't squash
others who may not be running the same type of energy.
As
the month comes to a close you may find yourself juggling a few thing
around in order to bring things back into balance.
Don't
be wishy-washy. Ask questions, make decisions, and then set the time
frame in order to bring things to fruition. If you feel it is
necessary to ask for help, you will receive it, but only if you ask.
A
nice stone to wear or carry this month is Labradorite.
Labradorite
is a fantastic stone to use during a time of change because it offers
strengths on perseverance. It can help bring the aura into balance
and increase intuition. It enables one to see the truth behind
illusions. It can help us let go of fears and help us trust. It can
improve imagination aiding in creating new ideas. It can also calm
the overactive mind.
Labradorite
can help issues with the eyes and brain. It can also help relieve
anxiety and stress. It can balance hormones and regulate metabolism.
Labradorite treats colds and can help lower blood pressure.

entertainment!
