For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we know that Phil, the weather prognosticating groundhog saw his shadow a couple of weeks ago, thus telling us that spring is on its way. Meanwhile, after a very mild winter here in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve been blasted by snow and arctic cold temperatures. As I sit to write this the last little patches of white snow are melting away and the spring flowers are showing new growth.
Little glimpses of the Green Man can be found if one takes the time to look. The Green Man is the very essence of nature. Sping is a very potent time for Faerie magic. It’s time to work with the nature spirits and bring new projects to fruition. It is also a time to clear out the unused and unwanted.
The Fae message for the beginning of the month is quite clear and that is, “Check up the attitude.” They want you to remember, that what you sow, is also what you reap. If you want to be treated with kindness, then treat others with nothing less. If you are feeling lonely, then share a smile with someone. Tell a stranger, “Hello.” If you feel that you are being treated unkindly, take a moment to look at your approach and ask yourself if you need to make an attitude adjustment.
This is also a time to slow down just a bit, everything in your life does not need to run at NASCAR speed, all of the time. Take some time and enjoy your life, friends and family. Take some time to connect with nature. Work with it and become one with it. Plan your garden, it doesn’t matter if you have a truck patch or some window boxes, plan what you would like to grow and then put that into motion. Take some time to sit and contemplate. Enjoy the spring elements. Make the gentle rain, fog, mist and dew your friends. Remember that the water and earth Fae are intertwined with those elements.
Towards the middle of the month, you might find things picking up in energy. You might find yourself going through closets and cupboards, sorting and discarding. How good does it feel to release this stagnant energy? Open your windows if weather permits. Turn the lights out during the day. Enjoy the extra hours of daylight with an evening walk after dinner. The Fae also say that during this period of time, it is essential to treat yourself to something special. Whether it’s that gooey chocolate brownie or a delicious tea, do it, you deserve it.
The later part of the month brings us to the Spring Equinox on March 20th. This marks the beginning of the Faeries most active time of the year. If you pay attention, you might even catch a glimpse of one here or there. There are a few things that you can do to welcome them into your life. You could build a Faerie house and put it in your garden, blossoming plants are also a favorite of the Fae.
They say to watch for an improvement with finances, an increase in business or other opportunities to increase your income. This energy should carry through spring and into the summer months. This leads to stability for you at home.
A nice stone to carry this month is Malachite.
Malachite is considered to be the “mirror of the soul.” This stone is a protection stone. It absorbs negative energy. It helps balance mood swings with its calming energy. It helps with balance, peace, transformation and comfort.
As always, I hope you find that this message from the Fae helps guide you through the ups and downs of this month!! Remember to say a special little thank you to our Fae Friends for the guidance, insight and entertainment!
See you again next month and keep the faith!
