We deal with choices in everything we do, everyday in our daily world. The thing to keep in mind is that there are really no right or wrong decisions here, only choices. When making a choice, the important thing to keep in mind is to think everything through and to weigh it all out. Another important thing to remember is that in every decision or choice you make, there is always an outcome, and usually a sacrifice of some sort.
You should base your choices first on how it will affect you, then consider how it will affect those around you. NEVER base your decision only on how it will affect other people: don’t put yourself second. You should make the decisions about how you live your life, according to what your expectations are or based on what works for you and makes you happy. If you live your life this way, then the only one you have to answer to regarding the choices that were made is you.
If you live your life based on choices made according to everyone else’s expectations, you will find yourself feeling like it’s everyone’s fault that things don’t work the way you would like them to.
Keep this in mind when making choices ~ the ripple effect will always be in play , thus the choices you make start with you and slowly make ripples, affecting those around you whether you see it or not.
The other thing to remember when facing choices, and for some people, they may think that this does not apply to them; is Karma. The choices we make do have an affect on our karma, and sometimes affect the karma of others. This is where the principle of energy and thought comes into play. What we think, whether it be positive or negative, will show itself in our physical bodies as well as in the world around us.
Haven’t you ever wondered why some people seem to have “bad luck,” or why “bad things” just seem to happen to them? Take a closer look at their mental thinking process and the way they project their energy. I’m sure you’ve had the experience of going into a room and for some reason you can’t seem to explain, the energy in there just seems to feel heavy or icky. It is usually because someone with negative energy was in the room recently or still may be. They are being affected by the choices they have made and aren’t happy with the outcome, thus blaming everyone around them for the way things are going. I’m sure that at one point or another, we have all been down this road.
The next time you are dealing with having to make choices, take a moment to do the following :
1. Stop. Take a look at what’s going on.
2. Weigh things out—on the one hand if I do this, and on the other hand if I do this, what is the outcome?
3. Make sure that you’re prepared to deal with the choices you’ve made and with whatever sacrifice that might entail.
In this day to day rush world of ours, we tend to forget to take a moment and slow down, looking at what’s happening around us and at the aftereffects of the choices we make. I hope that this article will be of help to those that need it, and food for thought for anyone else. Until next time ~may the winds blow good fortune your way.
